Specific Goal

I want my audience to know three criteria of choosing fresh pork.

Thesis Statement

The three criteria that my audience can use to distinguish whether the pork is fresh are colors, feelings after pressing and appearance.

Speech Outline

I. The first method of choosing fresh pork is to distinguish the colors.

A. The color will be dark red after pork is put in the air after twelve hours.

B. There are different colors in different positions of pork.

1. The positions in high consumption, such as pork tenderloin and pork belly, are pink or red.

2. The organ, such as pork liver, is shallow red and a little gray.

II. The second method of choosing fresh pork is to press it.

A. Fresh pork must be firm and bounce back in a few seconds after pressing.

B. There is no fluid or blood after pressing fresh pork.

III. The third method of choosing fresh pork is to see the appearance/ packing.

A. If you buy pork in traditional markets, there is a red authoritative seal on the back of pork.

B. If you buy pork in supermarkets, there is not much blood at the bottom of boxes.
