General goal: I want to inform my audience.

Specific goal: I want my audience to understand advantages of online shopping.

Thesis statement: The advantages of online shopping are saving time, convenience, various selections and saving money.

Since the developing of Internet, online shopping is a blossoming activity. There are four main advantages of online shopping.

I. The first advantage of online shopping is saving time.

Compare online shopping with local brick and mortar stores

1. Every local brick and mortar stores have the operating hours; you can't buy whatever you want at any time.

2. Online shopping is accessible round the clock. You can buy whatever you want at any time.

II. The second advantage of online shopping is convenient

A. You can browse through many items and purchase anything without going out.

B. You don't have to worry about how to receive the items because some of the online shopping websites deliver the things to the buyer's home.

C. The search engine provides people a good way to search what they want to buy.

D. There are clear categories for people to search what they want. People can easily search and do shopping on the internet rather than finding things item-by-item.

III. The third advantage of online shopping is various selections.

A. According to the condition of each item on the Internet. There are three types of items.

1. Secondhand items sold at auction.

2. New items sold at auction

3. New items sold at shopping website

B. You can purchase some items that only sold overseas on the Internet.

IV. The final advantage of online hopping is saving money.

A. You can bid for what you want with other people at an auction.

B. Sometimes there are some discounts only for online shopping.

I want my audience understand the potentiality of investing fine art.

Thesis statement

Art is not a unrealistic to our life nor a boring activity just to killing time, but it can be very profitable and cultivating if you pay attention to appreciate them.

Outline of speech

I. Fine art should be more than an entertainment
A. People in Taiwan care less about fine art than gossip news, lacking of cultural
cultivation.
B. A sense of appreciating beautiful thing will enhance the capacity of
observing the lovely side of the world.
II. Fine art investment should be noticed
A. Fine art is an emerging way of investing and is getting popular these years because
of its stability.
B. Stock market and fund are not making money anymore and they are not as
safe as fine art investment.
C. Nowadays fine art investment is not just a "upper level" activity.
1. People from middle class has the conception of this high-repaid investment.
2. Piece of fine art only worths more than its original prize.
III. Fine art investment should be planned
A. Make your investing budget in order to avoid that your are unable to
make ends meet.
B. Make sure the purpose of buying the art piece.

Thesis statement: Being a goodwill ambassador, establishing refined posture and etiquette, friendly attitude, and willingness to help people are more important than only nice appearance.

A. Goodwill ambassador in campus is a group of students who represent the school.

B. Activities and work

1. Be advertisement for our school.

2. Welcome certain visitors to our school.

3. Award prizes for our school or other institution.

  1. Good looking yet no specialty, just like showgirls wearing cheongsam.
  2. Except being selling point of the school, it is a meaningless group.

IV. Conclusion

Good looking isn't equal to skin-deep. And the process of becoming a goodwill ambassador is more important than the purpose.

Specific goal: I want my audience to know more about the importance of applying appropriate cosmetics.
Thesis statement: According to physical level and mental level, applying cosmetics can be beneficial as long as it is appropriate.

Outline:
I. On physical level, the amount of cosmetics we apply has a lot to do with a healthy facial skin.
A. Without any cosmetics, our face expose to the polluted air and ultraviolet rays.
1. my experience: A rash of pimples, sunburn and allergy during the time when I spent 30 minutes riding to school with nothing on my face
2. outside supporting resources: Compare the statistics between the present and the prior citizens who consulting skin doctors.
B. With too much cosmetics, our face will accelerate aging or sometimes worsen if the cleansing is not throughout.
1. my experience: The pimples on my face got worsen whenever I tried to cover them with heavy makes-up.
2. outside supporting resources: A research points out that applying heavy cosmetics speed up the face aging.

II. As to mental level, it is considerable that applying cosmetics is seen a kind of politeness, on one hand.
A. Without any cosmetics, you may look exhausted, sleepy or however awful impression others will bear toward you.
1. my experience: Whenever I tend not to apply make-up, my attitude toward the day or the event is obvious pathic.
2. supporting resources: Through my convey with some classmates, those who are lazy to put anything on face are not so adorable especially when those whose faces are in ill condition.
B. With too much cosmetics, it sometimes gives a negative impression.
1. my experience: My feelings toward those who wear heavy make-up is superficial.
2. outside resources: Almost all elders who I have asked bear the same or even objective feelings toward those with heavy makes-up.

III. On the other hand, makes-up can provide you confidence and energy but, at the same time, it can also draw you dimmer if you put too much reliance on it.
A. With proper makes-up, you feel more energetic through a brighter looking
1. my experience: Compared with the days when I didn't wear any make up, I felt relatively positive and confident with some make up.
2. outside resources: Interviewing with my female classmates, I received almost no agreement from those who apply make up.
B. Relatively, those who try to put as much make-up as they can are lacking a sense of safety: the more they put on, the less confident they are.
1. my experience: Whenever there are something wrong on my face, I am more anxious than usual about how to cover those defects.
2. outside resources: A psychological study support this idea.
